Project Description
The project “School Cooperatives Learning Platform” aims to promote cooperation between schools in Italy, Hungary and Croatia through establishment of School Cooperatives Learning Platform, as a new way for combining theory with practice in vocational schools. The establishment of school cooperatives and their functioning will serve as an instrument for introducing and promoting entrepreneurship in partner schools. Students will acquire knowledge of market mechanisms, doing business, teamwork and responsibility, and will develop personal skills and abilities needed for entrepreneurial activity. Through school cooperatives as a practical way of learning, students will understand what it means to be employed and they will gain an insight into the local labor market institutions, along with making a connection with local businesses. International platform of school cooperatives will be formed through development of web portal, as a virtual one-stop exchange of good practice examples, where cooperative members can cooperate – therefore strengthening their partnership relationships, as well as entrepreneurial, digital and foreign language competences. Web portal will also serve as a tool for disseminating project activities and results to public and it will be opened for other schools interested in joining a School Cooperatives Learning Platform.

Motivation
This project is needed for promoting joint cooperation activities between schools in Europe, through applying innovative approaches in teaching focused on improving entrepreneurial, ICT and language skills of students and teachers involved. That is why we want to introduce a learning platform for school cooperatives, first on the level of our schools (during the project), and in the long run to every other interested school in Europe.

Project Objectives and Strategy
Concrete objectives of this partnership are:

  • to promote joint cooperation of schools on the European level
  • to introduce new innovative methods of teaching in schools (learning by doing) through establishment of school cooperatives
  • to develop entrepreneurial, ICT and language skills of students and teachers
  • to establish the School Cooperatives Learning Platform through development of web portal, as  a virtual one stop for every school in Europe that is interested in this kind of cooperation

Evaluation
Evaluation process will be conducted in form of Analysis of the students’ and teachers’ entrepreneurial capacities, which will be made in each partner school in order to evaluate the current level of  students’ and teachers’ entrepreneurial, digital and foreign language competences, as a basis for monitoring efficiency of implemented project activities and development of their knowledge and skills.

Dissemination
Dissemination of project activities and results will be conducted during all 24 months of project, through the new web portal that will be developed as a common international learning platform for school cooperatives. Web portal will therefore serve as a tool for disseminating project activities and results to public and it will be opened for other schools interested in joining a School Cooperatives Learning Platform. Through the portal, students and teachers will also take part in dissemination activities by making and publishing articles about their activities in school cooperatives, organizing events and informing the portal visitors about achieved results.
